Shocking new photos reveal widespread damage from tornado in St. Louis

St. Louis-clear EF-3 tornado was torn through several neighborhoods of St. Louis on Friday, according to Fox 2 Radar and preliminary information about the National Meteorological Service.

One day later, new photos taken by FOX 2 photographers and employees show how the tornado left behind a trace of destruction.

At least five people were confirmed that dead and 38 were injured, while approximately 5,000 homes across the city had caused damage.

Radar data shows that the tornado probably started in the nearby Clayton and tears northeast through several neighborhoods of St. Louis, including Central West End, Debaliviere Place, Ville, Penrose and O’Fallon. Some spots around Forest Park also have suffered damage.

FOX 2 photos include a FOX dR through northern St. Louis, damage to homes along Martin Luther King Street, Euclid Avenue and Rhode Natural Bridge, in addition to the centenary church, where three people were restored, though one died.

Damaged roofs, fallen trees and crumbling walls are common places, especially in the northern parts of St. Louis. Check out the growing photo gallery in the slideshow attached to this story.
