New York Governor Katie Hochul rushed to Republican Senator Ted Cruz after he mocked her to carry a headscarf at the funeral of a Muslim policeman.
Hochul, a Democrat, gave his respect at the funeral of the 36 -year -old Islam Islam, 36 -year -old, a police officer in New York, who was one of the four killed during the shooting last Monday in Midtown.

He hit the senator in a publication explaining: “I wore a headscarf to honor a Muslim officer at NYPD at his funeral.

Cruz doubled in another post on Sunday. “I agree,” he published. “You have to wear a hijab every day because you are so devilishly decent. It doesn’t matter the rights of women in New York … It’s not your concern.”
The US-Islamic Relations Council condemned Cruz’s “contemptuous” remarks and urged him to apologize.
“If Ted Cruz has a sense of human decency, he will apologize both to the family of the murdered police officer in New York, Didarul Islam, as well as to the governor Katie Hochul for his contemptuous and disrespectful behavior,” the statement said.
“Senator Cruz must be ashamed of himself that he was daring to use the funeral of a killed Muslim officer from NYPD as an opportunity to increase the anti -Muslim hatred.”

“The fact that CRUS has repeatedly respects Jewish beliefs, by carrying Yarmulk in the Jewish sacred spaces, makes his attack on Governor Hochul for such respect for the Muslim space even more vile and hypocritical,” the statement continues.
“The next time Mr. Cruz visits a Catholic Church, he must seek up, notice the statues depicting Marie Mother of Jesus, may God be on them, carry a scarf, and then ask why he hates Hijab’s view so much.”
X checks of X shared an image of Cruz, bearing Yarmulke when he visited the Brighton Beach Jewish Center in Brooklyn during his presidential campaign in 2016.

Others of X praised Hocular’s actions as respectful to the fallen officer who was posthumously promoted to Detective.

The funeral of Islam took place in his mosque in Bronx and attended thousands of police officers who came to give their respect.

He came to New York from Bangladesh when he was 20, lived in a small house with his parents, his young sons and his pregnant wife. He served at NYPD for three and a half years and joined the agency after two years of government as a safety agent in urban schools.
He was killed when weapons Shane Tamura entered the office building of Avenue with a rifle in the style of attack and opened fire before taking his life.
In praise, read on behalf of his wife, Islam is described as a person who “lived to help others” and that “he gave his life, protecting them.”
