A family man killed in a fatal transminal crash sues the truck withdrawal company, driver

It is alleged that distracted driving, negligence and speeding are the causes of a fiery wreck that led to the death of a 65-year-old man, according to an unlawful death case.

Aldo Jenkins died in a 12 -vehicle crash on May 8 at the intersection of Woodrow Bean Transmountain Drive and North Desert Road, the lawsuit said. The lawsuit was filed on Friday, May 16, by Jenkins’ son, Scott Jenkins, against the Sheffield Drawing Service, also known as Fort Stoston towing, and the driver of the withdrawal truck, 28-year-old Alfredo Campos, the court records show.

No lawyers have been listed in the civil case for the towing company and CAMPOS, the court records show. Campos has not been charged with a crime in connection with the fatal disaster, court records show.

It is alleged that Campos has accelerated, failed to preserve safely after a distance, and “was distracted by electronic use of devices and deliberately ignoring the final risks of harm associated with it,” the lawsuit said.

“Aldo Jenkins is dead and his family left devastated because this company and his driver demonstrated an insolent disregard for the safety of others while striving for profits,” a law firm and Kherkher Garcia’s law firm said. “The Sheffield withdrawal Service had both a moral and legal obligation to develop, implement and implement safety measures, and that company absolutely failed to do so with the most horrifying result.

“Jenkins lost their lives and many other innocents, unsuspecting people were seriously injured. None of this would have happened if the company and his reckless driver had not acted in the most careless and careless way as possible.

The crash happened around 6:20, May 8, at Woodrow Bean Transmountain Drive and North Desert Road in Northwest El Passo.

Campos, “for unknown reasons,” could not stop the towing truck as he approached the intersection of Transfountain Drive and North Desert Road, the message said. The towed truck crashed into several vehicles waiting in the red light at the intersection. The resignation included 12 vehicles, with seven people injured.

Aldo Jenkins “was killed in the most ghostly way that could be presented by being burned alive inside the truck cabin,” Garcia said in a news message. The crash led to seven other people injured. The age of the victims varies from 30 to 55 years.

The death of Aldo Jenkins was the 22nd death associated with trafficking since 2025.

A lawsuit claims gross negligence

The trial claims that Campos caused the crash because he:

  • Failed to maintain a proper look;

  • failed to drive a safe speed for conditions;

  • failed to keep the safe after distance;

  • Failed brakes in a safe and timely manner;

  • failed to give the right to the way;

  • failed to drive the towing truck safely under the conditions;

  • is distracted by the use of electronic devices and is deliberately not in line with the extreme risks of harm associated with it;

  • failed to apply his brakes in time;

  • The failure to drive the vehicle, as a safe profit driver would acquire in the same or similar circumstances;

  • violate the texas driver manual;

The Sheffield withdrawal service was tried because the company leaders have failed:

  • Development, implementation and imposition of adequate safety policies regarding the work of a tow truck;

  • Development, implementation and imposition of adequate safety policies regarding the distraction of the driver from electronic devices;

  • Require drivers, including Campos, to use electronic devices while driving, which are known to be distracting;

  • Make sure that CAMPOS is adequately informed and properly instructed regarding the applicable safety regulations, laws and standards for industry in terms of driving while distracted;

  • Use ordinary care, training, driver retention, as would be a reasonable company using commercial vehicles;

Damage

The lawsuit seeks financial compensation for damage suffered by Aldo Jenkins’s family for his death. Damage include physical pain and suffering, expenses for medical, funeral and funeral expenses, mental grief, monetary loss, loss of capacity for profit, loss of advice and lawyers and loss of inheritance.

The court case states that Aldo Jenkins’ family is seeking “a monetary relief of over $ 1,000,000, in an amount to be determined by (a) jury.”

The attorneys of the Drawing Service of Sheffield and Campos did not respond to the case, according to court records. No date of hearing in the case has been set.
