The Air Canada fleet remained grounded on Monday after they hit the flight attendants, who denied the government’s order to return to work by escalating unprecedented opposition to the Canadian authorities.
The airline, which usually transports 130,000 passengers daily as part of the Global Star Alliance, has foreseen the resumption of operations on Sunday night after the Union’s Labor Relations Council directive to end its strike and enter into binding arbitration.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), representing Air Canada’s 10,000 cabinet crew, rejected the order.
They called on the airline to return to the negotiating table, arguing that the binding arbitration would ease the pressure on the carrier.
Companions require improved salaries and remuneration for terrestrial obligations, such as the passenger board, since their current pay structure compensates for them only when the aircraft are in motion.
This position has gathered significant public support in social media from Canadians.

Cupe invited Air Canada back to the table to “negotiate an honest deal”, calling on the order to end his strike unconstitutional.
The airline said it would delay plans to restart operations from Sunday to Monday night and described the union as an illegal opposition to the Labor Council.
Government’s options for terminating the strike now involves asking the courts to apply the order to return to work and seek an accelerated hearing. The minority government may also try to adopt legislation that will need the support of political rivals and approval in both parliament panels, which are on vacation until September 15.
“The government will be very restrained to be too difficult, because in Canada, the Supreme Court ruled that governments must be very careful when depriving the right of strike, even for public sector workers, which can be considered essential,” said Dion Puler, Professor of Spring Disputes at the University of Employment and University of Labor.
Another option is to encourage the negotiation, Poller said.
The government did not respond to requests for comment.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Mark Carney’s liberal government passed to end the strike by asking the Canada Industrial Relations board to order the binding arbitration. Cirb has issued the order that Air Canada sought, and the Union flight attendants opposed.

The previous government, with former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, intervened last year to go to the railway and docks who threatened to cripple the economy, but it is extremely unusual for the union to oppose the CIRB order.
Cupe said its rejection was unprecedented when such an order was made in accordance with rules known as Section 107, which the government refers to in this case.
Travelers at Toronto Pierson International Airport over the weekend said they were confused and disappointed with when they could fly.
The Italian Francesca Tondini, a 50 -year -old, sitting at Toronto airport, said she supported the Union, although he had no idea when he could return home.
“They’re right,” she said with a smile, pointing to the striking companions.
The dispute between cabin crews and Air Canada depends on how Airlines compensates for flight attendants. Most, including Air Canada, have traditionally been paid only when planes are on the go.
In their recent contracts for a contract, flight attendants in Canada and in the United States have sought benefit for hours, including tasks as passengers on board.
New Labor Agreements at American Airlines and Alaska Airlines legitimately require carriers to start the flight to pay the flight attendants when passengers get on board.
US flight employees are now also offset by a few hours between flights. The crews of United Airlines Cabin, who voted with a contract with an orientation contract last month, also want a similar provision.
