The newest hotel in the center of Boise is closer to opening in an area that has observed a wild transformation after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Construction crews, city officials, businessmen and developers celebrated the “top” ceremony on Wednesday for the incoming 15-storey, two-selected variables and elements of the 1011 W. Grove St. The attendees signed the final structural beam before the crane lifted it to the top of the building.
The AC Hotel will offer “elegant, modern experience” with European style, while the Element Hotel will focus on “wellness, resilience and comfort with an extended stay,” said Mike Webster, president of the Eagle Pennbridge Hospitality, which builds hotels.
The final beam is raised from the crane during the Dual Marriot AC and Element Hotel supplementation ceremony in the center of Boise.
The two hotels will be in the same building with a shared lobby. The 175-room alternating current will offer a minimalist experience, while all rooms in the 121 room element will have kitchens and free snacks.
“We think we carry something truly unique to the Boise market,” Webster said.
The expected $ 100 million hotel will include 296 rooms with 10 apartments, 9,000 square meters of meetings, a fitness center and an outdoor roof deck with a spa, barbecue and fire pits on the fifth floor. On the 16th floor, the hotel will include a full service restaurant and a bar called Boise Post, surrounded by two decks on the roof.

According to Tom Whitney, Vice President of Penbridge Development, the restaurant will use local ingredients in global dishes – such as a salad of Thai’s Idaho or Churos with Aidaho Potato Flour. The restaurant will also be open to the public.
“This will really be the jewel on the crown on the stage of the Boise Hotel,” Whitney said. “This property will be a landmark.”
The building has been under construction for 17 months and is still about nine months until the crews finish, Whitney said.

A thriving market at Boise Hotel
The hotel is the 14th of Penbridge and Fifth in Idaho. The company’s portfolio includes two hotels on Twin Falls, two Marriott hotels in Boise and the 10-storey Residence Inn, which opened on the Capitol Boulevard in October 2017.
The new hotel will be a “great compliment” for Residence Inn, said Tom Lewis, one of two directors and co -founders of Penbridge, along with Jared Smith.
The building is long -standing. The company bought the parking lot, which performed the site in January 2020, according to Smith. Then the pandemic struck two months later, the parking revenue went to zero and the duet asked what they were doing.

“The sun is much more bright in June 2025 than it was in June 2020,” Smith said.
During this period a wave of new hotels and reconstruction passed through the center of Boise – focusing heavily on the properties around the 11th and the Grove Street intersection, where the AC and Element Hotel goes up.
The Renegade Hotel of 122 rooms opened in the northwest corner in May 2024, followed two months later by the Sparrow boutique hotel with 66 rooms in the northeast corner. Both the Renegade Hotel and the AC hotels and the elements performed former parking lots.
Mayor Lauren McLean said the new hotels are helping to connect the core of the city center with other parts of the city center along Grove Street.
Jared Smith, director and co -founder of Pennbridge Hospitality, thanked the traders, investors and partners during the ceremony of exceeding the ceremony on Wednesday for dual -branded Marriott hotels.
“We saw so much progress and development right here in an area that was quite quiet just a few years ago at the beginning of Covid,” McLean said at the event. “And this comes to life.”
Cody Lund, the CEO of the Boise Center, told the Idaho statesman after the sparrow has opened that the city continues to see more demand than hotels have a place.
The new Pennbridge Hotel can make a recessed in this search, but local hoteliers say that the city still lacks a large-scale hotel with 600 rooms or more that could help attract larger conventions or events.
