The Boise School Quarter faces another $ 50 million claims for a tort by the student’s parents, the result of a special educational paraproofs – who was accused of possessing child pornography – with contact with his child.
This time, the parents of a student with autism have filed a request that is a harbinger of a case against the school neighborhood, claiming that he has failed to protect the “most vulnerable children” from 22-year-old Gavin Snow. The snow “participates in many cases of inappropriate behavior with more than one student in the bathroom and the sensory room at Valley View”, according to the Boise school district, which applies changes to special education staff after an external investigation.
Snow died of suicide in January while Boyz police officers tried to arrest him.
Parents’ lawyer Andrea Rosholt wrote in a six-page statement that despite an investigation into Valley View, the school neighborhood is making “no effort” to consider potential violations in the Primary School in Cynthia Mann-where the then-3-year-old was enrolled.
Therefore, administrators “cannot assure parents, including those who judge that the snow was not alone with their children and was not sexually used or abused. The snow also worked in Cynthia Man, as claimed.
The behavior of the school neighborhood left the boy’s parents without “any choice”, except to take potential legal action, the claim said. The tort claims must be filed against government agencies within six months of the incident and they reserve the right to file the parties to bring a case, but this does not always mean that someone will judge.
“Lack of transparency is caused and continues to cause the plaintiffs extreme emotional suffering,” Rosholt wrote in the statement.
The Boyze School Quarter in an email said it remains “engaged in transparency and the safety and well -being of our students and employees”, but declined to comment on pending litigation.
Valley View parents file a $ 50 million claim against the Boise School Quarter
This was the second claim surrounding the charges to be filed against the area. In April, the parents of a Valley View student filed for a tort – they were also looking for damage of $ 50 million – after the snow was charged with producing pornography for their child.
The Boise Police Department began to investigate snow after school officials contacted them because of fears that he was producing childhood porn, according to a message from the agency. Employees spoke with Snow on January 7th and he was placed on administrative leave the next day.
On January 10, officers tried to arrest him at his home outside Mountain View Drive at Boyz, according to a police report. Snow tried to escape through his backyard, and when an officer asked him to stop, he cut his own throat with a large kitchen knife, the report said.
Months after the publication of the incident, administrators from the Boise School Quarter and Valley View met with parents and guardians to overcome the findings of independently beyond the investigation and changes carried out in elementary school and throughout the area.
“We are deeply sorry for what happened to the children at Valley View Elementary and the damage caused to the confidence of our public places in us every day,” the message said. “We admit that no word can cancel the trauma experienced by students and families, but we hope that our actions-as in the immediate afterwards, and through long-term reform-demonstrate how seriously we accept this violation of our students.”

The school neighborhood claims that he told the parents that the incident was “isolated” by Valley View, as claimed.
But the child’s parents argued this and asked why the investigation was focused on Valley View, despite the Snow story about working in the elementary Cynthia Mann – where their son was recorded.
He is said to have been hired as a teenager to work at elementary school from the then pre -school school, with whom he has a close relationship, the statement said. Snow’s mother also worked in Cynthia Mann.
The son of the parents, who has a severe form of autism, was part of the special educational program for early childhood in primary school in Cynthia Manni Ma Primary School in 2023, when the snow worked there as a parapro -professional for children with special education, as claimed.
The area called the child’s parents after Snow’s death, the claim said and advised them that he was working full -time in his child’s next classroom. But he would often enter their child’s classroom to help and replace other teachers when needed, as claimed.
In a subsequent email, the school neighborhood “tried to downplay the possible exposure to the child to the snow, saying that he may have supported the program for the specialty” from time to time, “the claim said.
It is unclear how often snow works in Cynthia Man, as the school neighborhood is unable to use log files or wages to determine this, as claimed.
The parents of the child said that before this year they “had never heard the name Gavin Snow” of any of Cynthia Mann and were never informed that he may have had contact with their son, according to the complaint.
“This information caused the plaintiffs extremely emotional suffering from the fact that their minor son … who is autistic and non -verbal, could be sexually abused by Gavin Snow,” the statement said.
