The Gofundme page was created by supporters of Carmelo Anthony, the teenager accused of murder in the piercing death of Austin Metcalfe, at the age of 17, in Frisco, Texas, this week.
Metcalfe and Anthony had a dispute at the track meeting on Wednesday. The victim was at the event with his twin brother.
The crowdfanding page, which was created for Anthony, claims that the suspect has “jumped” by the brothers. He also claims that at least one of the brothers knew Anthony.
The page continues to describe Anthony as “a respectful, well -mannered young man” with “multiple colleges” and “4.0 student”.
“A child with a zero criminal history- even a disadvantage. A son raised in a loving home by parents who learned him correctly as wrong,” the page said. There are two anonymous donors who have contributed $ 1,000 to the campaign.
The page also addresses viral photos that appear to show Anthony with a firearm. The pistol is described as a gun AirSoft.
Meanwhile, Anthony’s lawyer, Derrick Walpol, told the NBC Dallas-Form Worth that the suspect had maintained that he was being defended.
“I know the client told me that this is self -defense. I have no reason not to believe this, but I have to develop facts, to talk to people and to find out what is happening before I make statements about what I think has happened. I have no reason to think that this is not self -defense,” Wallpole said.

Walpol also said he was seeking to reduce the $ 1 million bond.
According to the email, the director sent to the parents on Wednesday, Metcalfe was 11th grade at the Memorial High School. Anthony is enrolled in FRISCO CENTENNIAL High School. It is not clear immediately whether they know each other before the feud.
Metcalfe was a junior in a memorial and played on his paths and football teams. His father, Jeff Metcalfe, said Austin’s brother was with him during the incident. He told the NBC Dallas-Form Worth that Anthony was sitting in his son’s place at the track meeting and that the attack had happened after his son raised the question with the other teenager.
After a piercing, Metcalfe’s brother, Hunter, was reported to hold him until he died. Anthony claims to have acted in self -defense, according to reports.
“I tried to break as quickly as possible,” Hunter Metcalfe told WFAA, fighting to tell the story. “I looked at my brother and I won’t talk about the others. I tried to help him.”

Metcalfe’s grieving father told the television operator that his son “would be a great individual and would influence this world with positivity” and said he was “so proud” to the 17-year-old.
He also realized that his family was not the only thing that would be turned upside down from the attack and expressed sympathy for Anthony’s relatives.
