The White House works to adopt policies to allow Americans to have more babies, even when decreasing federally funded daily care.
This is because they want a stronger family unit that claims to come from a parent who stays at home.
White House employees have discussed several options for encouraging parents to stay home with their children, said three people who were part of the discussions The New York Times.
Ideas discussed include giving more money for each child they have, eliminating federal tax loans for daily care and opening federal land for housing construction. Defenders claim that if families can spend less on homes, more of them will be able to live with one income.
For example, the Republican Senator of Indiana Jim Banks has recently introduced a bill that will actually pay parents in the home. Republicans have also suggested that tax credit for children is expanding in part by removing tax breaks designed for working parents to pay for daily care.
The Republican Senator of Missouri Josh Holes suggested that the tax credit be expanded for children up to $ 5,000 per child in the hope that the extra money would allow parents to work less. During last year’s presidential campaign, Vice President JD Vance also supported a $ 5,000 tax credit. Although the measure has bilateral support, most Democrats also support day care subsidies.

Even when the White House pushes the conservative social program that promotes traditional roles of marriage and gender, the studies are unclear whether the child is better at day care or at home with a parent.
This comes as many American families need two incomes to survive. Nearly 65 percent of mothers in households with two parents with at least one child under 18 work outside the home, a figure that has increased significantly over the last half century. Similarly, children’s care costs have also increased, with an average cost being $ 11,000 per child annually by 2023. Families in many big cities pay more than double that.
Conservatives claim that they do not push mothers to leave the workforce, they just give them the choice to work less if they want to do it. They note that a Gallup poll in March found that 60 percent of American women say they would prefer to work part -time or stay home. Thirty -seven percent of men said the same.
“President Trump believes that parents know how best to raise their children and this administration is conducting policies that empower parents with the flexibility to make the best choice for their children as they reduce the cost of childcare,” the White House spokesman told Taylor Rogers to Times.
In general, conservatives do not say which parent can decide to stay at home. More than 80 percent of parents in the home are women.
Hooley said The times that the effort is “not only to increase the total number of children.”
“It increases the number of families, mothers and fathers and the ability of the family to spend their time together,” he added.
The banks told the newspaper that Democrats “block the care of children who many families prefer, such as the use of a church day center or care for parents or grandparents for their children.”
Democrats often kill Republicans for their resistance to policies that facilitate the work of mothers.
“Do you want to help families? How about paid family and medical leave?” Donetroctic Democratic Representative Rosa Delauro said Times.
Parents say that the proposed legislation with the largest tax loans for children is not enough for a parent to stay home.
Katie Holer, 27, from Ohio, has two young children.
“It is not based on the experience of the families who need to work,” she said. “It’s a penny when you need dollars.”
