Cape Town, South Africa (AP)-Administration of Trump carries a small number of white South Africans in the United States as refugees next week in what is said to be the beginning of greater effort to move a minority group chased by their black-headed government because of their race.
South Africans’ applications are rapidly tracked by the United States after President Donald Trump announced the movement program in February.
The Trump administration occupies an anti -migrant position by stopping refugee programs and stopping arrival from other parts of the world, including Iraq, Afghanistan and most Subsahara Africa countries.
Refugee groups have questioned why some white South Africans have been prioritized.
South Africa says there is no pursuit
The South African government said the US allegations that the white minorities in question were persecuted are “completely false”, the result of misinformation and an inaccurate view of its country. He cites the fact that Africanists are among the most rich and successful people in the country and said they are among the “most economically privileged”.
Africani are descendants of the main Dutch and French colonial settlers who first came to South Africa in the 17th century. There are about 2.7 million African people in the South Africa population of 62 million, which is over 80% black. Many in South Africa are puzzled by the allegations that Africa are persecuted and meet the requirements for refugees.
Africanists are part of the daily multi-line life of South Africa: many of them are successful business leaders, and some serve in the government as ministers of cabinet and deputy ministers. Their language is spoken broadly by non-africa-and is recognized as an official language, and churches and other institutions reflecting the culture of Africanists have fame in almost every city and city.
So, what pursuit do the United States say?
Agricultural attacks
Trump and his South Africa Born Elon Musk have accused the South Africa government of having racist anti-white laws and policies, but the claims of the Center for Pursuit on a relatively small number of violent agricultural attacks and robberies on white people in rural communities.
The United States claims that these attacks are racially motivated and the South Africa government “nourishes” them, allowing anti-white rhetoric from some political parties that are not in the government and do not do enough to protect rural African communities. The government categorically denies this and has condemned the farm attacks, but says their cause is deliberately wrongly characterized.
The violent attacks on farm owners in South Africa have been a problem for years, but they are a small percentage of extremely high levels of crime in the country that affect all races. The government says there is no white people in South Africa and no persecution, and agricultural attacks are part of its violence struggles.
The Africa Group called the Afriforum Records Farm Attacks said that in 2023 there were 49 murders of farms in South Africa. They have been identified for a total of over 20,000 murders in South Africa annually. Experts claim that rural communities are susceptible to crime due to their remoteness and less police presence, but the owners of black farms and workers are also killed in violent robbery.
However, many rural white communities have long expressed fear of the threat of violence and believe that the authorities do not do enough to protect them. These allegations appear to be part of the requirements for requesting a refugee status in the US, although no details of the application process have been announced.
Affirmative actions and “reverse racism”
The Trump Administration also criticizes South Africa’s affirmative actions as a racist against white and falsely claims that white South Africans have taken their land from the government under a new alienation law that promotes “confiscation of racial discriminatory property.” No land is alienated, but Africanists, which make up many rural communities, have caused fears that their land can be directed.
South Africa has laws designed to develop employment opportunities for blacks, and many white South Africans and white -led political parties have also criticized them and called them racist and counterproductive.
Some groups of Africaer say that employment, land and other laws are intended to limit their capabilities in South Africa.
The Africa were the basis of the previous apartheid system of apartheid of the management of white minorities and there is a mood among some that they and their culture are directed to a kind of reversal by the government, led by black as a punishment for it. The government denies this.
Not the only whites in South Africa
Africanists make up only some of the approximately 4.5 million white people in South Africa, which include those who have British and other heritage.
But the Trump Administration Refugee Program offers only the movement of Africanists, which are largely regarded as conservative and Christian values that could be aligned with the Trump administration policy.
It is unclear how many Africans have applied or received refugee status, but US -based business group in South Africa has said there is a list of tens of thousands who have shown interest.
