No one was injured after employees claim that Lightning’s strikes led to a second alarm that penetrated the attached garage of a big home in Pigeon’s hills at the end of Saturday night.
The firefighters were summoned around 11:50 pm on Saturday, July 26, 2025, a report on fire after a lightning strike on the 7900 block of Woodland Drive in Paradise Township, according to York 911 County records.
After arrival, they opened a fire showing from the back of an attached A-frame-shaped single-family home, which was a steep and long alley and demanded the working fire.
While the first firefighters were at the scene, an explosion occurred within the attached garage, leading to a rapidly growing fire, said the volunteer fire company Porters. After the intense growth of the fire, a second assignment of the alarm was requested.
No injuries have been reported, according to United Hook & Ladder employees.
The reason for the fire was defined as a flash on the property, said United Hook and a ladder, with the fire erupting in intense and heavy thunderstorms in the area.

Through intense efforts, firefighters said they had managed to cut the fire before destroying the rest of the attached home, although the home had suffered some fire damage, along with great damage from smoke and water.
The attached garage of the home and the rooms above it collapsed the alley when the firefighters began to fight the flame.
In addition to the challenges of heavy flames, high humidity, hot temperatures and torrential rain, firefighters had to control rural operations for water supply, without hydrants in the area and 1,900 feet of alley leading up the steep mountain terrain.
