The recent interaction of President Donald Trump with an African reporter makes people talk on all the wrong reasons.

On Friday, the United States facilitated the peace deal signed by the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, hoping to end the ongoing battles that have been happening in the Eastern Congo for decades.

The meeting was held with the Democratic Republic of Foreign Affairs Terese Kayikmbambamba Wagner and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda Olivie Nduinguche in the oval office. The leaders also joined the US Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Senior Trump Councilor Masad Bullos.

White House Prescent Certificate Carolyn Levitt invited a reporter and “friend” by Heriana Vera Victoria to participate in the event. Hariana, who represents the continent of Africa in her reports, told Potus that the people of the Democratic Republic Congo were grateful for the work he was doing and hoped for the peace he plans to bring.

“It’s so nice,” Trump said, before noting that he was advised not to comment on his appearance as Hariana. “And he said so beautifully. Carolyn said this, number one that I should not say this because she is politically incorrect … She said,” She is beautiful. “And you are beautiful!”

Horian threw herself on the compliment while the others in the room laughed and smiled as Trump continued to praise her.

“I’m not allowed to say it, do you know this? It may be the end of my political career, but anyway I will say it. You are beautiful and you are beautiful inside. I wish I had more reporters like you.”
He continued to ask her how long she covered news for Africa. Trump ended his conversation by thanking Harian for the kind words and the presence of the ceremony.
The clip of their conversation became viral, and as you can imagine, people online had a lot to say about interaction, with many comparing it to an old man trying to flirt with a waitress:
