Many are familiar with Tesla and its range of electric vehicles, especially with so many news titles that have recently covered decreasing sales and increasing protests at Tesla places. What many may not know is that the company is also seeking approval for Robocar Services in California.

Although this endeavor is in the early stages and is not close to a finished product, ready to unfold across the country, Tesla may be among the increasing number of companies that want to open the door to a number of environmental transport services.

Recently, CEO Elon Musk discussed the preparation, saying that there was a “bunch of work to be done to ensure that the whole thing works effectively” on Bloomberg. And a spokesman, he said in an email that Tesla’s request “is hanging and not yet public.”

Not long ago, the notion of driving completely electric cars looked like a science fiction movie. Now Tesla and other companies continue to run borders, with Cruise and Waymo being some of the services of vehicles that already take and transport passengers without human drivers.

However, there are challenges, with all such companies making errors and collapse titles. There were no indications that self-operated companies cars had a higher percentage of human drivers accidents, although they showed specific weaknesses, such as turning and moving signs.

In China, Tesla owners using full -time driving have been affected by fines, and a video of a police officer who is pulling over a Waymo vehicle for driving in oncoming traffic last year is viral.

These areas are likely to improve over time, although public confidence in self-driving cars may take a little longer-especially after it has been shown that the function of Tesla Autopilot will allow the vehicle to hit a dummy in dense fog and rain. While things are, Tesla relies on a complex optical camera system without the use of lidar or radar that Waymo uses to find the things that the optical camera may not see.

Musk is on a record, calling Lidar “Lame” and, according to messages, canceled some Tesla engineers about the dropping out of radar, although he is not alone in believing that cameras are sufficient. He said he was autonomously managed by the Tesla fleet camera, which works autonomously, which is why the company seeks approval to provide robotic taxi services.

In October, Tesla presented a prototype without a driver, which was also referred to as “robotaxes”. However, he plans to launch the service using existing vehicle models: Model 3 Sedan and Model Y SUV. First, Tesla must be oriented in a strict approval process, which includes applications and permits. It is unclear whether or when the service without Tesla drivers will start working in California.

The rules and requirements vary depending on the state. In California, autonomous vehicles are under -terrible instructions from Uber and Lyft that allow drivers to use personal vehicles. In contrast, countries such as Texas regulate autonomous vehicles, similar to traditional cars.

Light vehicles-including cars, trucks and taxis-show approximately 91% of gas consumption in the United States. Approval of Tesla driving services in California can accelerate the transition to a more environmentally friendly lifestyle in countries across the country.

Not only that, but also electric vehicles are also significantly larger than gasoline vehicles. They are so almost silent that they have a legal requirement to emit a sound level of at least 56 decibels.

Imagine the difference: electric taxis that only circle with low noise and zero pipe contamination instead of gas taxis moving along the city streets, producing noise and engine pollution.
