Hundreds of thousands descended into the center of Oklahoma City to celebrate OKC Thunder and the first ever NBA championship in the city.
During the two-mile parade route, who transferred along the National Memorial and the Oklahoma City Museum, the City Hall, the Shipsport Park and the Oklahoma City City Center, the Oklahoma players were greeted.

While the number of people in attendance was the biggest single collection in the history of Oklahoma City, there were some debates online whether the size of the crowd was impressive. Here’s what we know.
How many people attended the Okc Thunder parade?
While the Oklahoma newsletter reported an assessment of the crowd size, citing police in Oklahoma City, Master SGT. Gary Knight told Oklahoman that the police did not issue the size of the crowd.
An official evaluation will come from the OKC partnership in the coming days.
Oklahoma Mayor City David Holt, who enthusiastically participated in the pickup parade with his wife with his wife and two children, praises the number of fans who appeared to support their team.

“There are 712,000 people living in OKC and there may have been more people than today on the streets of the center,” he said in a publication on Instagram. “For two continuous miles, Thunder fans were arranged deep on both sides of the street to celebrate, and tens of thousands gathered at Scissortail Park. What did people say about the Okc Thunder parade attendance

Despite the large crowds arranged along the route of the parade, there were many online, who either believed in incorrect claims that very few appeared or compared the parade with those held in larger cities and even larger metropolitan areas.

A video of a different, slightly visited parade made the circles of a satirical X account called @thenbacenel, who claims to be Thunder’s parade.
While official evaluations of the crowd have not been published, the closest comparison with the OKC championship parade is the 2021 Championship parade for Milwaukee Bucks, which attracted about 500,000.
Although this number is for the parade itself, a Pacers fan compares the images of the collection after the parade in the Schisssport Park and compares it with a similar image in Milwaukee, which seems to include more people than the photo of the city of Oklahoma.
For the context of the population, Milwaukee itself has about 140,000 smaller inhabitants, but something most outside Oklahoma does not think that the Earth City of the Earth City is the pure size of the land. OKC is more than six times larger in the ground area (621 square miles) than Milwaukee (96 square miles), with residents spreading around the city.

According to Hoopsocial, OKC is the third at least NBA market, just below Milwaukee. According to the site, Miluoki has a bigger television market with about 170,000 people, even before looking at the biggest subway population.
When I consider populations in the metro area, the Milwauki subway has about 130,000 people – but again the Oklahoma City metro area is significantly more common, which means that the metro residents may have to seek to attend a parade in the center of OKC.
