This month, Reddit filed a lawsuit against Ai Giant Anthropic, claiming that Openai’s rival had access to his platform of more than 100,000 times. Access to the July 2022 platform after Anthropic claimed to have blocked his bots from it. We sat down with the Reddit chef to discuss the suit.

The important thing for us is that hmm, we are able to protect the confidentiality of our users, their deletion rights, and we have policies that guarantee that, you know when users download a publication, with the publication being downloaded. And so it is really important and as we said in our service conditions that, you know, we have a conversation with people who have access to our data, because it is a commitment we have in terms of our policies.

Our next guest has destroyed the numbers of the size and scope of the scraping of AI from bots and helps publishers benefit from this scraping. Joining us now, we have toit Fenagrahi, who is the CEO and co -founder of Tolbit. Tolbit is a startup, based in New York that helps news publishers watch and make money when AI companies scrape down their content, acting almost as a road cabin on the Internet. Did we get this, toit?

01:25 Toosit

Yes, that’s right. Thank you for having me.

01:28 Spokesman a

Absolutely. So take us to your business and what you see brighter here, especially when we know and know how much these AI engines scrape off to obtain both sets of knowledge that can then be used for generative efforts of AI, and they reach any part of the source of the network that can essentially receive.

02:06 Toosit

Absolutely. So Tolbit is a platform that helps the UH websites of all sizes monitor, manage and provide revenue from their AI Bot traffic, which essentially means that we give them tools to get an idea of how you can grow on the site on their site. We give them tools to block it and apply rights to access content. And then we give them an – -— an innovation is our Bot Paywall, an instrument that allows these AI bots to come in and actually pay for sanctioned access to this content UM and data, right? And I think one of the things we see, correctly, especially in the last quarter, is the search for not for uh uh content for learning, content to extract during the conclusion. When people ask a question, bots should go out and read and answer your question.

03:09 Spokesman a

AI training as it is currently ethical from the standard practices that users expect when on the Internet?

03:24 Toosit

I think this is a question that is greater than all of us. I think we are definitely looking for some of the courts to decide to decide and determine some precedents whether the training is honest or not. But I think, like a business, I think where a part of the conversation has to go, you have to be around, you know, those bots that are the ones who have to come up when you and I ask a question to one of these platforms to read this content, right? They don’t know what happened today. They don’t know what the price of the ticket was if you want to go to France, do you? They actually need to come out and have access to these sites to obtain this information. This will be far more than just training, as these tools continue to develop.

04:26 Spokesman a

So what is the revenue model? How does business make money?

04:34 Toosit

So essentially what the technology we built, we have built a gateway through which any AI app, agent, bot can enter and actually pay UH through the form of micro payments to access content and data, right? So it could be something of what happened today, right? You want to want to read HM what happened in the news today so I know to know, you know what the price of a hotel today in New York and I want you to go to book it for me, right? And so we are able to allow websites to set these rules, to set access protocols for what they need to cost content. And then we take a transaction fee on top to allow this faster, more pure, licensed access to these content data.

05:29 Spokesman a

For a truly captivating business and I am sure there is a very large common addressable market that is simply continuing to grow at this intersection. Thank you very much for breaking this. We appreciate it.

05:41 Toosit

Thank you.
