A new documentary raises questions about the murder of an Irish man at his home in North Carolina.
Jason Corbett’s American wife, Molly Martens and her father, former FBI agent Thomas Martens, have admitted that they beat Corbet to death on August 2, 2015, but they claim to be self -defense after Corbet has apparently tried to suffocate her wife.
“There were times when I thought,” I’ll die, “Molly Martens says in the documentary.
The Martens were sentenced at the death of Corbett in 2017, but their sentences were annulled in appeal. In 2023, Thomas Martens pleaded guilty to defeating Corbett to death with a bat, and Molly Martens did not compete, causing their relevant prison editions in 2024.

The filmmakers also spoke with Corbett’s sister, who lives in Ireland and ultimately received custody of his brother’s two children with his first wife because she was referred to as their legal guardian if something ever happened to him.

Sarah told Fox News Digital that she did not think her father had received justice.
“I definitely don’t think justice has been served. I don’t think it could ever be serviced, but it’s definitely not what they are given to Martens,” she said.
Now the author of a memoir entitled “Time for the Truth”, Sarah says she felt that the documentary had portrayed both his family and the Martens.

“Everyone knows that I believe that Molly and Tom killed my father. This is my conviction,” she said. “But this is not condemned. There is a lot of evidence [in ‘A Time for Truth’] This indicates what is not shown anywhere else. So, I think the book has many more details in it. “

“He had a good reputation – a very good reputation,” Chris Suker, now a lawyer, told Fox News Digital. “He was at the FBI’s Greensbor office for a while. I believe he was the resident of the Greenssborough Supervisory Resident, which meant he was running perhaps 15 or 20 agents in a rather active office on the desk.”
Jason Corbett’s daughter does not think her father has received justice.
Swecker added that Thomas Martens would have a lot of experience in conducting interrogations and that would help him as police questioned him in the murder of Corbett.
“Undoubtedly,” said Swecker, when asked if Thomas Martens’ professional experience would help him question. “He knows where the interrogator goes when he asks a question and … the evidence or a point that he is trying to get out of him. It’s a chess game if you are trying to protect yourself and your daughter, for example.”

The former FBI agent has identified the murder of Corbett as “one of those cases where you are wondering if you ever really get the answers, and there are only two people who will ever know, and these are Tom and his daughter.”
