The White House Historical Rose Garden seems almost unrecognizable as repairs are being carried out.
The new photos reveal how different the area looks almost two weeks after President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump began changes to the White House on June 9th.
What was once the square of the lawn of the Rose Garden was completely disappeared as the gravel now sits at the top of the area, with bulldozers and other construction equipment nearby.
Other photos that are obtained from City magazine and countryThey show that the dirt is moved by bulldozers, as well as workers who carry equipment and other objects in the central zone.
However, some greenery remains, as the initial hedges around the Rose Garden are still visible, bordering the area.

The most photos are different from the images taken at the beginning of the repairs. These photos initially showed that the herbaceous zone was also dug and parts of a limestone border – installed by Melania, 55, during her husband’s first term – to be moved to place a concrete surface within the border.
79 -year -old Donald explained his reasoning for warning about the White House area in an interview with March with Laura Inghm on Fox News.

“You know, we use [the Rose Garden] For press conferences and that doesn’t work because people fall, “he said at the time.
“The terrain can be wet and soft land can be a problem for some,” Trump added. “Women, with high heels, just didn’t work out.”
At the beginning of the renovation, a White House employee described the new construction as “restoration” and told people that Donald and Melania “had a deep respect for the history of the White House and for the Rose Garden.”
“This Rose Garden restoration retains the beauty of the space and upgrades the work done in 2020, with an emphasis on enhancing the practical use and experience of guests for attendees at special events,” the official added.
However, many criticize new repairs, sharing their thoughts on social media.
“To remove Kennedy’s rose garden is the removal of a piece from the history of the White House. And for the patio,” wrote one man in a post of X.
Another said on the social media platform: “The White House Pink Garden is gone. Absolutely crazy.”

Previously, Melania was confronted with a significant reaction when she initially transferred the Rose Garden in 2020. At that time, she made a rare public statement, saying that “the Rose Garden was decorated with a healthy and flowering roses.”
The remarks came after NBC News President Michael Beshlos described his botanical vision as “gloomy”.
Other ongoing repairs to the White House are intended to include the installation of a ballroom in the White House, according to the Associated Press, as well as two new poles of the flag of the northern and southern lawn.
Donald announced in April that he would personally fund the work by telling reporters, “They need flagships for 200 years,” despite the US flag and the POW/MIA flag flying to the White House of Flagshtok every day.
